Change your registration to vote

You are automatically included in the electoral register based on government records. Your name and address will be disclosed to election candidates.

Use this service to:

  • exclude your name and address from the list available to election candidates
  • update your registration if your name or address has recently changed
  • register to vote if you have not been registered automatically

Before you start

You must be aged 16 or over, although you can apply to register up to three months before your 16th birthday. To be eligible to vote you must either:

  • have been ordinarily resident in Jersey for the last 12 months
  • have been a resident in Jersey for the last six months plus additional periods that total at least five years

You can apply to register up to three months before you are eligible.

You can also register by completing and returning an application form. Forms are also available from your parish hall.
