You’ll soon be able to use this service to exclude your name and address from the list available to election candidates or update your registration.

Register to vote

You must live in Jersey to use this service.

You must be 16 years of age, although you can apply to register up to three months before your 16th birthday.

Before you start

To be eligible to vote you must either:

  • have been ordinarily resident in Jersey for the last two years
  • have been a resident in Jersey for the last six months plus additional periods that total at least five years

You can apply to register up to three months before completing either of these periods.

We'll check the information you provide against our records to help us verify your identity and that you’re entitled to register to vote.

You can also register by completing and returning an application form. Forms are also available from your parish hall.
